「だァれがほるか、お墓の穴を」
「そォれはわたしよ」ふくろがそういった。
「わたしの鏝で、ちいさな鏝で、

「だァれがなるぞ、お坊さんになるぞ」
「そォれはわたしよ」白嘴がらすがそういった。
「経本もって、小本をもって、
わたしがなろぞ、お坊さんになろぞ」

「だァれがならす、お鐘をならす」
「そォれはわたしよ」おうしがこういった。
「わたしはひける、力がござる、
わたしがならそ、お鐘をならそ」

空の上からみんなの小鳥が、
ためいきついたりすすりなきしたり、
みんなみんなきいた、なりだす鐘を、
かわいそなこまどりのお葬式の鐘を。
